The Return of Old Ghosts

Hey, it's us! Forgive our absence, the holiday burnout/recovery is not easy. We are super excited to present this episode to you, and for many reasons. The movies we're discussing today were directed by Tim Burton! They also happen to star the familiar Johnny Depp. Expect lots of Danny Elfman & Stephen Sondheim Appreciation because we're delving into those soundtracks. We're also excited because our good friend MARTHA is joining us for this recording. <3 We've all been friends for 20+ years now, and music and film have always bonded us. Enjoy our trips down memory lane as this episode quickly becomes a pajama partyyy! Martha's soundtrack follows a groom-to-be, who inadvertently professes his devotion to an undead woman with a tragic past. Franky tells us the tale of a scorned man who was banned from his home, and comes back for revenge with the tools he knows best. This film is an adaptation of a musical, featuring works by the late Stephen Sondheim. In Misa's movie a squeamish constable is sent to a small haunted town to investigate a recent string of mysterious beheadings.
